I could not find anyone advertising WWI German ID disk stamping, so I did a little research and found a good source for how to stamp a dogtag LinkyI made up a sketch of exactly how I wanted my tag to look and read, and then I sent it to vendor's that stamp WWII dogtags until I found one that would stamp my tag the way I wanted. WWI tags have nearly twice as much writing, so it cost me a chunk, but as long as I don't lose it, I'm good to go. Unfortunately, the guy that did mine no longer seems to be around, so if you find someone, let everybody know. Randall

Thanks Randall..that's a good file.
I'm wondering if Hessen will do it if you send them the information or maybe Soldat. I'm going to email them and find out.

Did you ever get a hold of Hessen on this?

Yes...sorry for no update.
No..they can't do it. Their stamps are too big for this application.
Cyrus at Soldat FHQ is in the same boat. He can do the earlier 3 line discs though.

I have a photocopy of the Dogtag book. They were all over the place, on what size. style the stamps were. A safe bet though, would be 1/8 inch w/ upper and lower case figures AND w/ serifs on the font.
