Im having a hell of a time finding a vendor that sells burlap sandbags in stock in store. Im in thousand oaks anyone have a tip on a source other than mail order?

Unfortunately, no. Bob Smith of the RMLI has a source in Arizona but the downside is that you would have to wait until he came out for the Spring battle.
The local sources I investigated are either very expensive (almost $1 per bag) or have horrendous minimums (like pallet loads in the thousands).
One quick fix that some folks have done is to get them from local fire stations.

I am going to see if I can aquire a bunch more of the burlap sand bags from my ANG unit and bring them up with me for the Spring event. Patrick

These guys are in Lake Forest, but they ship. I figure if people start buying 25-50 minimum per paycheck, everyone can start stockpiling bags. www.esandbags.com/I know it's not local, but do what you have to do..it's worth it !

Much better price than what I got them for.
Also, if we do enough of a club buy, we could save some money by picking them up at the vendor's location.
