Im having a hell of a time finding a vendor that sells burlap sandbags in stock in store. Im in thousand oaks anyone have a tip on a source other than mail order?

Unfortunately, no. Bob Smith of the RMLI has a source in Arizona but the downside is that you would have to wait until he came out for the Spring battle.
The local sources I investigated are either very expensive (almost $1 per bag) or have horrendous minimums (like pallet loads in the thousands).
One quick fix that some folks have done is to get them from local fire stations.

I am going to see if I can aquire a bunch more of the burlap sand bags from my ANG unit and bring them up with me for the Spring event.

These guys are in Lake Forest, but they ship. I figure if people start buying 25-50 minimum per paycheck, everyone can start stockpiling bags. www.esandbags.com/I know it's not local, but do what you have to do..it's worth it ! |

Much better price than what I got them for.
Also, if we do enough of a club buy, we could save some money by picking them up at the vendor's location.
