I have had this medal for a few years, and I just am curious what it is exactly and if it has any value. It might be German, just based on the name. I know its not WW1 but it isn't WW2 either. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Mark... "...Firstly, its not a military award, and is also in the configuration as awarded to females ( denoted by the ribbon bow). I would say its a form of temperance medal...." I must say thet, If it was a temperence medal, I would expect the ribbon to be a plain mid (Royal) blue. A common nckname for temperance societies was 'blue ribbon clubs'. Tom

Well, that's not very exciting. Anyway, thanks for the help. At least now I know.
