ok i just got my trousers from schipper fabrik!!!!! unfortunately i cannot find suspenders with two buttons in the back that look period. So i would appreciate if anyone could tell me where they got theirs. Thanks gang

Just be aware that with these postwar German suspenders, often times the leather has deteriorated to the point that it shreds like paper when any stress is put on them. Bought three pairs of these once of which only one was ultimately useful.

The BEST and most accurate suspenders are post war czech. Check out ebay 360166585449 You won't beat the $12 price tag. The post war German ones are really farb in my opinion. Cheers Dan

I am no expert, but those look like WWII to me, with elastic ends that get buttoned to the trousers - wouldn't leather ends be more accurate for WWI?

The ends are a woven rope like material and are dead on to the originals in one of my collector books. They are also the proper style for the early 20th century (unlike the repro mid 20th century or mid 19th Century suspenders everyone tends to use). In regards to the Elastic, even if they were elastic ends that would still be OK since the first elastic has actually been around since the 1860s. I'll have a pair at Fort Mac if you want to check them out. Cheers Dan
