Thanks Wolfgang! I'm desperately looking for pictures and links about Austrian and Hungarian Red Cross Societies uniforms in WW 1. Is that historical group still active? Is there a way to get in touch with them? Thanks Greetings Max

I have some flyers from at least one group I encountered in Germany. I can't find it at the moment;please bug me later for it.

Larry:
In the picture of Jim, is he wearing the "experimental" Austrian uniform? Or does it just have the exposed buttons from that uniform? (The color seems weird to me, but that may be my monitor settings).

(The color seems weird to me, but that may be my monitor settings). Hey Tony, He's wearing the so-called "Karlsbluse." These were private-purchase, with the inherent variation in color. They seem to have been inspired by the experimental uniform, and were popular with "Kaisertreue" NCOs and officers. It seems odd that they are called "Karlsbluse," as it was Emperor Karl who nixed the experimental uniform. -Larry
