I ran into a vendor I have not seen on any web sites as a vendor. Has anyone ever heard of replicaters.com? Their prices seem way low. I have always been a adherent of it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Oh boy...

This outfit has a pretty mixed reputation, a lot of it bad (there's plenty of horror stories on the various WWII reenactor boards). It's a crapshoot dealing with Replicators and I'd advise sticking with Schipperfabrik.

Ditto that! Our WW2 group has had nothing but bad service from Replicators. Sizes other than ordered, and VERY long wating period.

Replicators is actually a company run out of India by a very well-meaning fellow named Sanjay. At times, he's produced spectacular stuff; more often than not, however, something gets seriously lost in translation.

This explains the very long wait period.

Also, be advised that their WWII stuff often shows up on eBay, accompanied by wonderfully sharp-looking photos and crazy-low prices (especially breeches and DAK tunics). But upon closer look, you'll notice that the location won't be mentioned, and that the shipping price is circa $45 or so, a dead giveaway.

I concur with the previous advise, you're better off to stick with an established vendor.

My advice is to stay as far away from Replicators.com as you can. I have a nightmare uniform from them, and it was a waste of time and money. Even when he tried to correct the problem, it wasn't any better. Stick with Shipper, it is a good investment.

Sometimes cheap is not "cheap"...

I also like the way Sanjay "borrows" pictures from other people's websites with no acknowledgements.
