The story is about a small platoon of Brits soldiers that get separated and lost in a night attack, find a deserted German trench at dawn, and occupy it until reinforcements arrive. They find three German soldiers in the trench and take them POW. The remainder of the movie focuses on these soldiers as supernatural events drive them to fear and desperation. The end is a real shocker and is definitely different.
Well, for "stitch nazis", most of the uniforms are WWII vintage (Brit appears to be to me, and the Germans are wearing bad Swiss conversions), as well as a lot of the arms and such, but the entire movie takes place in the cold rain and thick mud, so you have to look hard at times to tell. But, you sure do start to feel wet and cold just watching it. I also think that historically it lacks a little to, but I was so creeped out I didn't really think about that part too much.
It is a real bizarre story, and some of it doesn't make a lot of sense until the end, but like I said, the end is really different and sort of made the movie for me.
I have found that most guys either love it, or utterly hate it. I am in the camp that liked it. You can usually get copies used on Amazon pretty cheap - I paid more for the shipping than I did for the DVD itself.
I would recommend it.

I take it that's a "no" vote. Too bad, it's certainly an interesting premise for a horror flick. I suppose I'll have to go waste the money on the DVS unless someone uploaded the whole thing to YouTube. ;D
