This is really open to the whole club. Is anyone out there good with re-wiring things? The reason I ask is that I have heavy field phone, possibly a HQ type that I wanted to get rewired. My though was to see if the handset could be taken apart and have something rigged to an FRS type radio which could be stored inside the battery compartment of the phone. I have no idea if this sort of thing is possible, but I wanted to if there was anyone in the club who has any experience with that sort of thing.

Marcus,
I have no experience with rewiring phones, but I do know of a guy here in Old Town Orange that reconditions old phones. If you are interested I could get his contact info for you.
Best, Chris

You might want to talk with Adam Matthews- he's pretty good with that sort of thing.

I'll bring it up to the event. If nothing else, it will look good in the rear area.

Hey Marcus, What does it look like? Is it a camp phone model A? I have one and the internals look allot like a WW2 feild phone. It may just work if you add a few batteries.

It's that big heavy wooden encased thing I brought out to the "MUD" MTH if you remember. Missing the crank though.

Yeah, mines missing the crank too. Will you be at MTH? If so, bring it.
