I own a copy and I've found it useful in identifying various US items, especially since the pictures are mostly in color and they're pretty large. It's a bit pricey at $79 but I think it's worth it.

The one thing I like about the Schiffer reference books (I have several others for the Imperial German Army) is that they show a lot of stuff that I wouldn't have an opportunity to see outside of a museum.
