Just got my Eagle Snap .45 Ammo Pouch from What Price Glory (WPG) yesterday. Here's a short review:
The Good:
1) Fits the magazines (unloaded) perfectly- I had to work them in the slots carefully the first time but that's just a matter of stretching out the new material. I test-fitted two original loop magazines and managed to close the flap with no problems.
2) Overall workmanship is quality and the snaps fit perfectly. It doesn't seem that anything is pulling away.
The Not-So-Good:
1) They do not fit on the either the 1903 Mills Mounted cartridge belt or later model 1917 Mounted cartridge belt. I don't have an original 1909 belt so I was unable to check that one. The slot on the back of the pouch is roughly 1/2 too short to permit free passage of the belt. However, it does fit my original mounted pistol belt.
Perhaps the dimensions can be changed on the next run and while I'm a little disappointed, it will still work with my pistol belts so that's OK for now. Otherwise it's perfect in terms of worksmanship. Unfortunately I don't have an original for side-by-side comparison but it seems to match the pictures I have.
