Has anyone made a US uniform purchase with Schippers new run of wool? The picture looks good on his website, but I was wondering if it more closely matched original color than his old run of wool. Well, looks like I might have to be a guinea pig and find out...I need a new tunic...

Curious if any of their Marine uniforms have surfaced. I have one of the first run Marine uniforms that AEF made, but it needed improvement. Was better than nothing at the time.

I just ordered a pair of Schipper's US Army pants. I will compare them to my originals and let you know. Martin

Good question. I checked The Trench Line, but couldn't find anything up to date on Schippers new wool. Or USMC unifroms for that matter either. I notices Schipper doesnt have photos of the Marine uniform either. Wonder if any of the units back east know?

Well, I just ordered a new tunic from Schipper, supposedly from the new run of wool. I'll post here with my impressions when I get it.

It might be a while before I post my impressions. Just got an e-mail from Paul, and the only tunic size they have in stock is a size 48. So it looks like I will have to have one custom made and wait 12 weeks....  |
