I found some old Stars and Stripes stories regarding some interesting uniform regulations:
Chevrons in Right Arm Only: (June 1918)

Division Markings Banned in States: (February, 1919)

I found this very interesting. I knew that most insignia wasn't fully approved until the early 20s, but I didn't realize the troops weren't allowed to wear them stateside.
Long Pants for Half of Army: (February, 1919)

Another item I didn't expect. I had figured that the long pants were an officer thing until the early 20s, although it does state that the soldiers can wear their breeches until no longer servicable.
Puttees State-side: (April, 1919)

I had seen pictures of troops wearing the puttees state-side and never realized there could be a reg requiring it.
