I copied this off of the WWII Forum but thought someone on this forum might know someone who might be interested.

The Womens Army Museum and Quartermaster museum at Fort Lee, VA is holding an Armistice Day anniversary celebration on 11 November. They have asked for living historians to attend but are having trouble locating female WWI impressions. Considering the nature of one of the museums, they would really like to have some female impressions."

Bob... I personally have no problem with females joining in with the WW1 reenactment sceane. That is to say, if they stay to historical accuracy, and stay to their alloted tasks = far away from the frontline! In plain lanquage, reenact the roles that their original forebares did.
All to often in other reenactment periods, especially WW2, English and American Civil War, and American War of Independence, we see females in the ranks, dressed as frontline troops. Radfords group springs to mind.. a wife acting as an Enson in front of the regular troops. (Name me one frontline War of Independence officer who was female?) That to me makes a mockery of historical accuracy.
Now, in this modern upside down world, there would be those (after reading this) who would call me all manner of derogatory things. My reply... OK, lifes a bitch, but one cannot argue with, or change history.
The simple fact is, during The Great War, there were no women as troops or otherwise in the frontline, or even the second or reserve lines for the most part So, lets stick to historical accuracy, let the women ball and shout all they want, and keep them to the jobs they were allotted = safe area ambulance drivers, nurses, stores personel, office clerks.
As soon as I find a female dressed in frontline kit, acting like the regular troops in the trenches, I'll hang up my SMLE!, and stick to research, reading and watching the films.
