Gents,
We are registered for the Long Beach Veterans' Day Parade on Saturday, November 9th. The parade starts at 10:00 am, but try to get there earlier to form up, organize, etc.
I do not have the details from the organizers yet as to entry number, division, etc., but will post as soon as I receive them.
We are encouraging an August 1914 impression, but all timeframes, fronts, nationalities are welcome. The main point is to remind folks why Veterans' Day is on November 11th.
More info to follow.
Best, Chris Michaelis

Can I come out German? If yes, should I wear Pickelhaube or 1916 helmet, or schirmmutze? All my stuff is Jager green piped... and I don't have a Jager Tschako as of yet!

The parade is this coming Saturday. It starts at 10:00 but I would recommend getting there no later than 9:30, earlier if possible to get kitted out, figure out our formations, and maybe even practice some drill.
We meet at Houghton Park in Long Beach. It's off the 91 Fwy at Artesia. Go east on Artesia, south on Myrtle and it will be on the right. They will not be assigning Division or unit numbers until that morning, so look for the pickelhaubes!
All nations are welcome - even German and Austro-Hungarian. We are there to remind folks why Veterans' Day is on November 11th. Many of us CP types are pushing for a 1914 impression - early-war tunics and kit with pickelhaubes - but any impression, any nationality is welcome. Just keep it authentic!!
Any questions contact me personally.
Hope to see you all there.
