Is anyone able to comment on the quality of these items, either from having seen them up close or from the images? doursoux.com/en/1095-wwiIt's not clear to me what the source of these garments is - perhaps they are from same source as the dubious Ebay ones mentioned elsewhere, but sold with a markup? Any information would be welcome.

No idea who they are ... I would have to see better pictures for the quality of these products.

I've got no idea either, I'm afraid, but I thought it worth asking in case they could be of any use to anyone in the UK. In any case that gear is not suitable for me as I'd need a khaki greatcoat, or the Poiret in horizon blue.

Haven't checked out Doursoux's webpage in a while. Last time I did their wool was completely wrong, it was a solid sky blue vs. the correct "heathered" blend of white, dark blue, and sky blue. Looks like they've corrected that now, in fact, the wool they're using looks very similar to our horizon blue wool that we had manufactured here in this country. We've sold quite a bit of it to the French, so I wonder if they bought some and are using it for their uniform production. So, the wool looks good.
But, the trousers are not the style that were issued. These appear to have been copied from a private purchase example. The issue ones don't have belt loops and the cuffs don't usually have buttons down the vent. The Vareuse (tunic) is the post-war 7 button style, not the correct wartime 5 button front. So, skip the tunic entirely. The Capote looks "OK" in the image (but images can be deceiving), you cannot see the interior, I would want to see more up close images to see whether they've replicated the interior correctly, since most people skimp on all the detail there. I bet it doesn't have the internal suspension as the originals do. I also wonder if they've done the belt back and vents correctly. I also wonder whether it has the modern boxy shoulders many poor reproductions have, originals follow the natural shoulder line. Buttons also look funky. More pictures are needed. Wool looks good though, but more than just decent wool is needed for a good repro.

Many thanks for the useful information, pascal. I presume that "here in this country" refers to the US, and therefore the wool you mention might be that supplied by horizonbluewool.com?

Due to having no luck elsewhere I got a some of these trousers and the wool is indeed good. I've not had much luck in getting a good picture of it, but the it can be seen compared to the coat on the left of the attached photo (assuming the attachment works). The coat is a capote Poiret made by Matt Williamson.
