I usually bring a camera to events and usually forget to use it...however I was able to get a couple of early in the morning: Me in garrison uniform- 1912 Cotton Breeches and Tunic with 1910 Garrison Belt. The Lancashire Fusliers were there- helping themselves to war booty as usual! ;D Thanks Seph!

We 'Old Contemptables' never miss a chance to pick up a prezzy to send home to the kiddies and our loved ones! That Picklehaube will be a nice gift for my mum to put her prized Aspidesra in!
For those of you who were not at the Fort Macarthur event this past weekend, you missed a darn good show (even though the GWHS was missed off the public orientation map!).
Recruiting was the order of the day, with all national representatives taking turns at stewarding the general public into our representative trench site. The 'Hun' (I'm gritting my teeth as I write this).. did a splendid job of entertaining those of the public who entered our domain, treating them to the delights of general trench life, and a taste of 'Arms Drill'. The lucky 'Hun' blighters even had a local film crew.. near the end of Sunday's festivities.. interview them at the trench... GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Interest from the public was superb... my own battalion recieving three new recruits... two of those immediatelly took up the 'King's Shilling', so their names will be added to the battalion roster (on site) shortly.
We even had an Australian from the GWHS grace us with his prescence for the most part from early Sunday morning.
Fritz Bonner presented a splendid impression of a member of the first Imperial German Regiment to become KIA at the hands of British marshmanship... The Uhlans. Well done Fritz... I was extremely impressed, and I think the public who were in our immediate vacinity enjoyed our little banter.
A superb and very enjoyable weekend.... thank you to all who made it possible!

Cool, so what do we do with it? Put it on a guidon and play "capture the flag" in the trenches? LOL -I was told I need to add the "LOL" by my Sgt. because of my twisted sense of humor.

Seph, coming from you, that is quite reassuring! "Twisted" is actually one of the nicer things that have been said about me in WW2 circles.
