Any suggestions for an appropriate watch to wear in the trenches? I'd rather not drag a valuable antique around in the mud, so I'm looking for relatively inexpensive. Any opinions of the Aeromatic 1912 line?

I would get a repro pocket watch... river junction sells some... maybe not "european" enough?

My great grandfather passed down an old hamilton.. Also my father in law in Berlin has been collecting pocket watches for years..

I don't know if the mods want to move this entry, but I found a nice little wire lug style watch with RED Twelve on it and made a trench style watch strap.
