Roll of Honour films were made and shown in certain British towns to highlight local men who were serving in the war, or in some instances, were killed, wounded or 'gassed.' Although the date indicated on this film is 1919, is was probably made in 1915, as the Roll of Honour films declined in popularity as the war wore on with huge number of casualties reported. www.eafa.org.uk/catalogue/712This site also has other WW1 films, including a 1972 documentary about the zeppelin attacks on Britain.
