Since I didn't get an answer with the "new guy" subject line, I'll try a call for help. I want to know if the 1912 Cotton Uniform Package that Schipperfabrik sells for $254 is acceptable for GW reenacting? Thanks...

Good morning and welcome. I am also a "newguy" to WW1 reenacting. I have been doing WW2 for several years now and was looking for something new. As for uniforms you want to get the wool uniform. As far as I know the cotton was rarely, if at all, worn in France. I do not know if the cotton shirt is acceptable, I hope so, as that would be much more comfortable. I would contact unit leader Adam Lid directly for more information on uniforms and equipment. As for the English.......they talk funny ;D
