Gents, I just received a Mercator pocket knife (from Solingen, Germany, not China) with a carbon steel blade and without the "Kat 55" logo, i.e. period correct for the WWI soldat. The vendor is in France, but delivery only took one week. Price with shipping was 24.70 euro (~$34), about $10 more than you would spend for a Chinese knock-off with the logo and stainless blade. The Douk Douk is a little to late for WWI, it was created in 1929
