Here is a picture that I won off Ebay, it is of some of the men of the 151ème Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne You will notice that some of the men are wearing the fourragère in the colors of the Croix de Guerre on the left shoulder so this picture had to be taken sometime after April 16, 1917. This had to be after it was awarded its second citation in the Orders of the Army (Citation in the Orders of the 5th Army, No. 237, April 16, 1917) as the regiment was awarded the Croix de Guerre and the men were allowed to wear the fourragère. This picture had to be taken when it was cold as I noticed some of the men are wearing thier Vareuse Modèle 1915 (Tunic Model 1915) underneath thier Capote Croisé Modèle 1915 (Double-breasted Greatcoat Model 1915) The man in middle with out his helmet on, is of the rank ... Sergent ... Sergeant This picture really shows that by 1917 and 1918 the single breasted overcoat, the Modèle 1914 Poiret was long done away with and why all members of the 151ème RIL should be wearing the double breasted overcoats Attachments:
