I'm looking at getting into WW1. I've seen Hong Kong Keith has WW1 German uniforms.
Now - I really like to support American companies, and I'll be ordering from Schipperfabrik in the future; however, for the time being and until I get better acquainted with WW1, I'm interested in checking out Keith's stuff in the meantime.
Has anyone gotten one of his imperial German tunics?
I've ordered a pair of his imperial Tuchhosen, so I'll post a review when I get them.

I would suggest you get a hold of the authenticity officer prior to buying anything...especially HK stuff. Contact Dan of the IR 23 (hwolf on this forum). He is the authenticity officer for the IR23 where you would most likely start off.

Yeah, the Hong Kong stuff is really hit and miss. I got the pants today. They're well made, but a very green "field grey". It is my understanding that the Germans had field grey trousers before the early war move to the Steingrau, but these are pretty green...
I give them a miss...
I will need to get the scratch together to order from Schipper - and wait the 12 weeks. See you next fall... he he

Like most of his stuff... Yeah, Keith pretty much has shit all in terms of uniforms. SPearhead is good on camo and winter stuff, sometimes trousers, and that's about it. The Chinese dealers have FAR to go before they'll be really good on wools. Marshall, I'd suggest you return the trousers. Their service tends to be really good, and you should get your money back and spend it on some nice trousers from Schipper  |
