At the turn of the century a chemist Dr. Young was trying to make a syrem for keeping out infection during surgery. It didn't work and was found during the boer war to be a lot better as a gun oil! XD
The oil was adopted as the British Gun Cleaning Oil and every soldier was given a can of the oil to clean his gun to put into his kit (in our case large pack). The Oil was continuelly used until the 1960s.
I'm currently in the process of ordering a lot of it for myself. Would anyone else be intrested in getting a can of the stuff?
