All-
As the numbers of attendees for the battle events have increased, there has also been increasing issues in regard to parking and individuals either showing up after the battles have begun or departing before they're over.
Specifically, it is disruptive to have vehicles driving up in plain view of battle area and especially at night with bright headlights illuminating the battle area. This is does a disservice, and it's simply rude, to those who showed up on time and those who have made the commitment to stay for the entire event.
To resolve these issues, the Board is instituting the following:
For the November 2011 battle event:
1) Parking in current Hobo Camp Area: All vehicles will be parked within designated marked boundaries boundaries for the duration of the battle. Vehicles will be parked here or in the woods (for the Allies) at all times during the battle.
2) Leaving Early: People who elect to leave the battle early and who are parked in the current Hobo Camp area may do so. If people leave during darkness, NO HEADLIGHTS ARE TO BE USED until the vehicle is clear of the battle area. Parking lights are acceptable and there will be battery lanterns and other markers set out to assist. If you park in the woods, your vehicle will stay there for the duration of the event.
3) Late Arrival: Individuals arriving late will be required to park in the first meadow to the right of the dirt road closer to Lockwood Valley Road before the current Hobo Camp. This area will be marked.
For the Spring 2012 battle event:
1) The current Hobo Camp area will be CLOSED and all camping and parking will be in the first meadow to the right of the dirt road closer to Lockwood Valley Road.

More information will be forthcoming in the future and policies are subject to change. If you have any questions, please contact a Board member off-line.
