There are two prongs tabs on each of the 4 sides of the helmet shell, you will have to bend them out a little, bieng careful not to break them as they are very flimsy. The outside of the liner on the wool section of it will have two cut slits for slipping the prongs into, the go in only so far, they will not go out into the inside portion of the liner, then you will have to bend the prongs slightly back to the inside of the helmet shell from the inside of liner. Once the liner is in place ... NEVER remove it for anything including cleaning as the more you bend the prongs the weaker they become and will break on you. Patrick

My Italian helmet was missing the two side clips. Just yesterday I had them soldered into place, as the two that were present had been soldered. There are spot-weld marks on the helmet as well, so the clips had probably broken and then been repaired with solder.

Pat, I have seen it done three different ways. Since there were so many Adrian helmet manufactures its possible they all did it their own way. I have seen them riveted into place, with the rivet heads ground down till they are flush with the helmet's dome. I have seen them sodered into place with lead. I have also seen them spot welded.
