My grandfather ,Joe Schatz, was cleaning out some stuff in prep for a move to a new house and remembered that I liked "all that old army" stuff. He has a photo album with photos of his dad in the army in WW1, him in the USMC in WW2 and as an army officer in Korea, and photos of my dad in Vietnam. Going through them he has allot of photos of just doing every day things. They are all interesting to me, but here is one that might be interesting to you guys. It is the only pic we have of my great-grandfather in uniform. My grandfather said it was taken some time after he came home from Mexico, but before he left for Europe in early 1918. All my grandfather remebers is that he was in the Field Artillery. My great-grandfathers name was Heinrich "Henry" Schatz:
