A documentary production company is looking for a Chauchat French light machine gun to film for an upcoming documentary. Anyone know of a Chauchat in working condition or non working condition, that might be available for filming? Your Chauchat might go out their a machine gun, but come back a star!

You might want to post this on "The Trench Line," as I believe they have a Chauchat or two in the GWA.

I have one but it is not legal to bring to CA under the CDOJ and as I am not a resident of CA it would be a BIG NO-NO to bring to CA for a filming production. The usage of these full automatic weapons must be registered under the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) National Firearms Act and follow the guidelines as set by the California Department Of Justice Bureau of Firearms as well … www.ag.ca.gov/firearms/ You will have to find someone who is a resident of CA who has one and is legal under both of the above posted information. I kind of assumed that the film company would have to go out of state (i.e. California)- if they want this sort of thing, they're going to have to be willing to travel. Other option is Bill Guiette or one of the other usual Hollywood gun rental houses but I seriously doubt if they'd have a ChauChat. But I've been wrong before... :-)
