The belgian uniforms are the best on the market. But still need work. No one reproduces them right. The best way is to make your own like they do in Belgie and Nederlands.

I'll bet that approach really keeps the numbers down for French troops... too bad since they were the largest player on the allied side.
Then, what about weapons for French: which model, and are they reasonably available? After that comes the question of blanks...

This is not about keeping people away at all but letting those who want to do the impression to do it with a uniform that is accurate and correct as possible. These are bieng copied by two tailors who are using original samples as references to make them which they are copying down to every stitch which was either hand or machine done.
As to weapons: If you want to the correct weapon the unit (151ème RIL) used it will be a Fusil de Infanterie Modèle 1886 Modifié 1893 ‘Lebel’ as it was main weapon used by them throughout the war, they never went to the other two weapons listed below. Fusil de Infanterie Modèle 1907-1915 (Rifle of Infantry Model 1907-1915) Fusil de Infanterie Modèle Modifié 1916 (Rifle of Infantry Model Modified 1916) We do allow these two weapons to be used as well as not everyone can afford a 'Lebel'.
Prices vary on these weapons and have gone up alot over the last 5 years; 'Lebel's are running anywhere from $300 to $1000 depending on condition, maker, year it was made and what part of the country you are in. The two Berthiers are running anywhere from $300 to $800 again depending on the above and which model it is, the 5 shot 1916's are easier to find and lower in prices but as with all things Great War, it will jump in next few years as we approach the 100th Anniverssary of the war and demand for these items increase with both collectors and shooters who are willing to buy them. I used to be able to get 'Lebel's for $200 easily now you are looking at $400 to $600 for them but deals can be found like any other weapon.
