Hi Guys These pics are listed in a sales thread on WAF and thought I would share them here. This one was converted after the war for civilian use most likely with the button flap, shoulder strap buttons, belt hooks removed, cuffs modified, etc. I found it interesting to see the collar material and hooks, original horn buttons, positioning of the belt ramps and the length of the skirt. Best Regards, fischer (fixed the photos so it doesn't mess up the page-Admin)[/size]

Try Jas. Townsend & Sons, Inc. They sell Colonial American/Revolutionary War items. However, they do have horn buttons (at a fairly cheap price). They might have what you need. If not, I believe that they might custom order items. Also, Civil War sutlers might be a good source.

Hello Marcus
Do you or anyone know the correct size of the Bone buttons for the Bluse? Are they 7/8" or 1 inch?
What about the size Bone button on the Drillichjacke? Are they the same as the Bluse or a different size?
Best Regards, fischer

The drillich jacket is not bone as far as I know. They are the metal 4 hole button that you might see on WW2 german trousers. I'm not sure about the size for the bluse. I was wondering the same thing. Worse case scenario was that I was going to just measure what was on my current bluse and find a match.

I was reading the J. Somers book and it states the enlisted drillich jacket had zinc buttons and later on they switched to bone with the example pictured having bone buttons.
In looking at the picture I am guessing they are 7/8" in size.
