Hello
I read the review by Marcus of Hessen's M1915 Bluse but what about the M1907 and the M1910 Feldrocks?
I was wondering what the opinions are on these?

Hi Don, Unfortunately Hessen's tunics all fall into the same issue regardless of what model 1) The skirts are too short (originals extend well below the crotch). Their tunics are cut more like WW2 tunics (cuff is even with skirt) 2) the belt ramps are way to low. They should be at one's navel or roughly half way up a properly made tunic if you look at a back picture.
I spoke with Rick when this when the first started making these and I was told they would fix the problem but I think they are using up old stock. None of us in IR23 have received a proper tunic and have returned them or relegated them to our loaner gear.
Until they fix these problems, they are not approved for use in GWHS. Dan Authenticity Officer

If they can correct their patterns, then it will be fantastic. Hessen is great for customer service and pricing, no doubt.

Hessan Antiques now have listed their new tunics. Based on the photos it appears they have addressed the issues with there old run. The skirt run well below the cuff and the hooks are much higher. Martin

IR23 members should standby for approval on these tunics. They LOOK pretty good, but they'll need to be approved.

Ok, From what I can see on the pictures 1907/10 Tunics are still a NO. They got the skirt length right and also upped the rear hooks to where they should be BUT unfortunately they did not lengthen the rear scalloping plackets. Those should extend the length of the skirt. Close but no Cigar 1910/14 These are a NO -they still have the old run on the website which are not acceptable due to skirt length. I'll let you all know when the offer the new run with these. 1915 Bluse are a NO for now until I see one in person. They look real good but I'm VERY hesitant ;D Cheers Dan

Your last post is nearly three years old now, so I don’t know whether your comment is referring to the actual pictures. Are these issues still the same or did they sort them out in the meantime? Cheers Heiko (sandsack)
