The horror of gas warfare in WW1 was so profound that none of the major combatants in WW2 used it, but they were ready to reply in kind if it was used against them. Here is an obscure incident of mustard gas casualties in WW2: fhp.osd.mil/CBexposures/ww2mustard.jsp

Mustard is pretty nasty- often it's effects wouldn't become apparent until 5-6 hours after exposure.
