Does anyone know of a vendor that makes the WW1 litzen for EM/other ranks? Thanks; Christian

Try these sites: www.prussianglory.com/www.philsmilitaria.com/Prussian Glory seems to have a limited variety of litzen; you might be able to special order what you need. Phil's Militaria will custom make just about anything you want (you'll have to send Phil a photo of what you want reproduced).

I got mine from Prussia's Glory, but they only sell the type with a red stripe. I darkened mine to get it closer to specialist black. I want to find some that come in black though. Attachments:

Close-up.... you can still see the red showing through unfortunately: The original tunic I used as an example: For some reason I seem to always get photos taken in this uniform with a grumpy look on my face. I just noticed that.

Thanks guys, I got in contact with Prussian glory and he is going to help us out. We found out the 109th had a special helmet plate and a few other distinctions that are just going to put them out of our reach for now. We are going with the other unit in there Brigade the 110th Baden Grenadier Regiment "Kaiser Wilhelm I". That has brought up a whole new set of headaches, but again Prussian Glory is going to help us out. The latest question is did Grenadier regt. wear litzen or did only Guards units wear litzen? From all the photos I have been able to find only guards units did, but more research is needed. Christian
