O.K all, I am needing to know what color to paint a shell so whan I get my brodie liner in I can paint it the corect color.

Best to have it done by a pro.. www.alexanderandsonsrestorations.com . He's a GWHS member. Primarily does German stuff, but can do allied as well. Just telling someone to use "this" color is completely hit or miss.

I've done 4 of my own and actually would rather do it myself. (I guess too many years making Indian wars stuff) ;D Thanks for the info.

Hey guys where would be the best place to buy myself a brodie. i have seen some on ebay for 10 bucks but i dont think they are correct... and Where would be a good place to get a repro liner for my brodie?

Echoing Marcus' original reply, contact Jacob Caputo at www.alexanderandsonsrestorations.com/. Jacob has done several helmets for me, and his work is top-notch. He can also help you find an appropriate shell. -Larry

O.K all, On the British helmet, does the rubber donut go on top of the felt pad or under it? I have seen photos of both and I want to make sure.

I have seen photos both ways. However, the originals I have actually seen and handled all had the rubber donut placed under the felt pad.

hey guys i was just wondering where you find the helmet covers for the Brodies? i believe they are just burlap but im not quite sure... And if they are just burlap how would one "install " it? Thanks Tony Aguilera
